Free goal setting worksheets and printables

Every sheet below is a print-ready PDF in A4, A5 and US Letter. They are free, there is no email address to hand over, and you can print them as often as you like. They are built to be filled in by hand, because a plan you have written out yourself is one you actually remember.

These are the paper version of the same system the Life Areas Map tool and the Life Goals App run on screen: values first, then the ten life areas, then a goal that cascades down to what you do this week. Use whichever suits you, and the numbers carry across.

The whole set as one pack

The twelve sheets together make the Life Goals Planning Pack, which runs the full cascade from your values to this week in one printable document. That one comes by email rather than as a direct download, and it is still free. Everything on this page above is yours without it.

Which sheet to start with

If you do not know what to work on, start with the Life Areas Map. It is ten minutes and it ends with an order rather than a feeling.

If you already know the goal and want it broken down, start with the Goal Setting Worksheet, which takes it from a direction to something with a first step and a named obstacle.

If your head is too full to answer either, start with the Brain Dump Template and come back.

Common questions

Are these really free?

Yes, and without an email address. Print them, hand them out, use them with clients. The only thing we ask is that you do not resell them.

What paper sizes do I get?

A4, A5 and US Letter for every sheet. A5 is there because a half-size page suits a journal or a pocket notebook better than a full sheet does.

Do I need the app to use these?

No. Every sheet stands on its own in pen. The app runs the same system if you would rather it did the arithmetic and remembered your history, but nothing here depends on it.

Can I print them repeatedly?

Yes. They are designed to be re-run: the weekly review every week, the Life Areas Map about once a quarter, the habit tracker monthly.
