Find your way around the Life Goals App on your phone: a phone with a small leaf growing from its screen

Open every screen from four tabs and two buttons

The Goals & Progress Life Goals App puts your whole plan behind four tabs on your phone: Home, Execute, Habits and Insights. Learn those four, then the three-dot button and the bar title. Together they open every screen.

Where you are in the journey

You have a plan and you keep a copy of it. That was the guide before this one, Keep your data safe. This is the last guide in the series.

What you will learn

  • What is on each of the four tabs at the bottom.
  • What you find in the More sheet.
  • How to open another week, month or year from the bar title.
  • What the question mark in the app bar opens.
  • What the phone shows less of than a computer.

Learn the four tabs at the bottom

The bar at the bottom of the screen has four tabs. The tab you are on has a filled icon.

The Home icon is the filled one in that picture, so Home is the screen you are on.

  • Home: your next step, and your whole plan as a list.
  • Execute: your day, week, month, quarter and year.
  • Habits: your habits by day, by week or by year.
  • Insights: how your weeks are going.

The app bar is the strip along the top. The question mark and the three-dot button are at its right. In the middle you get the name of the screen. When there is a way out, a small arrow or a cross is at its left.

Your phone’s own back button closes one layer at a time: the More sheet first, then a screen such as Settings. Inside a plan it steps back one screen. On a tab it takes you to Home.

Start from the Home screen

The first card on Home is Next step. It shows what to do now, with a button that opens it.

Scroll down for your plan in five groups: Discovery, Planning, Execute, Habits and Insights. Each row opens a step. In the example plan, Maya Chen’s Values row shows Done and Summit Goals shows 3 areas.

Under Execute you get one row for each level: 2026, Q3 2026, September 2026, Week 36 and the day. Each one shows its state, such as In progress or Reviewed. Under them, Goal Check opens your annual goals in one view.

Open the More sheet for everything else

The three-dot button at the right of the app bar opens More. It is there on every screen.

  1. Tap More in the app bar.
  2. Tap one row. The four groups hold these rows:
  • Under Plan and export: Reminder calendar and Download plan as PDF.
  • Under Your data: Download save file, Load save file and Try the demo.
  • Under App: Settings, About and Send feedback.
  • Under Help and legal: Help and quick start, What is new and Replay the welcome guide. Two small links under them open App terms and App privacy.

Settings opens a list of six rows: Profile, Appearance, Cadence, Planning, Reminders and Your data. A small back arrow at the left of the app bar takes you back out.

Open another week, month or year from the bar title

The Execute tab opens on the day, so the bar title is today’s date. Open a week and the title shows Week 36 · Aug 31 – Sep 6, with a small down arrow beside it.

  1. On Execute, open a week, month, quarter or year.
  2. Tap the bar title. The Which period? window opens.
  3. Tap Year, Quarter, Month, Week or Day.
  4. Tap a period in the list under those tabs.
  5. Tap the button at the bottom. It opens that period.

Step 2 gives you this window.

Every row in that list shows its state, such as In progress or Ahead.

Move between year, quarter, month, week and day

Under the bar title, an Execute screen shows a row of five small round buttons. They stand for the year, quarter, month, week and day, and the words follow the date.

On the first of September they are 2026, Q3, Sep, W36 and Tue 1. The level you have open is the filled button, the day in that picture. Tap another button to go to that level, and a small arrow at each end of the row to move one period back or forward.

Work a plan one screen at a time

On a computer a week plan is one long page. On the phone the same plan comes as a sequence of screens, with the same fields and the same words. At the bottom of each screen you get a bar with your place in the sequence.

The counter in the middle is Step 1 of 5 · main focus 1 of 3. The small arrow at its left goes back one screen. A week plan runs Next main focus, Next, Next, Continue and Done.

Tap the cross at the left of the app bar to leave a sequence. The app saves what you write while you type.

Tap a question mark to learn the screen you are on

Each of the four tabs has a question mark in the app bar, and most sequences have one too. On Home it opens the Goal Cascade, the chain from your Summit Goal down to today. On Execute it opens how your day fits the year, on Habits how habits work, and on Insights how the score works.

The help window has five parts: Why this matters for your goals, How it works, Tips & tricks, In this app and Where it comes from. On a computer, holding the pointer over the same question mark gives you one line, and a click opens the window. The app’s own recipe, open the help window from a question mark, shows that route with pictures.

What does the phone leave out?

The phone shows the same plan as the computer, in the same words and steps. It shows less at one time, because the screen is small. Nothing is missing from your plan.

Four things stay on the computer. The step strip along the top becomes the rows on Home. The Goal Cascade map draws your whole plan on one page. The Jump palette and Keyboard shortcuts need a keyboard. The app’s page on the computer, find your way around the screen, shows all four.

On the phone only the Wall of Wins has a printer button, so use Download plan as PDF for the rest. On a computer every step has one.

One thing works differently, on purpose. In the card game on the Values step you swipe a card right to keep it, or use the Pass and Keep buttons. On a computer you swap cards between the dealer and your hand.

Try these tips and tricks

  • Open More, then Your data, then Try the demo to walk a full plan on the phone. Yours stays where it is.
  • Put the app on your home screen. The app’s own page, use the app on your phone, gives the route for an iPhone and for an Android phone.
  • Tap Download save file in the More sheet before you change phone or browser.

Key takeaways

  • The app has four tabs: Home, Execute, Habits and Insights.
  • The three-dot More sheet has your data, settings and help pages.
  • The bar title opens Which period?, for any week, month or year.
  • A plan runs one screen at a time, with a counter and a back arrow.
  • The step strip, Goal Cascade map, Jump palette and Keyboard shortcuts stay on the computer.

Open the app on your phone now. Tap the question mark in the app bar on each of the four tabs. If you are still setting up, the first guide of the series is Start with the app in ten minutes.
